Kane giving ailing ankle a rest, will miss Avalanche Patrick Kane probably won't return to the Blackhawks' lineup tonight at Colorado. With the offense clicking even without the star winger, a little more rest and therapy for Kane's sore right ankle might prove helpful in the long run. Kane played in discomfort in the Winter Classic on Jan. 1, two days after suffering a high ankle sprain when he took a hit from Detroit's Dan Cleary.
