ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Evangelist Billy Graham was released from the hospital Saturday, sore and bruised but not seriously injured, after he tripped and fell over one of his dogs at his North Carolina home, hospital officials said.

Each morning and each night, a 17-year-old boy who worked as a personal assistant for a world-renowned priest said he had to follow a certain routine. The boy brought out balms and baby oil, and, as the Rev. Donald McGuire lay naked, he massaged him, the former altar boy testified Thursday in federal court.

Aide: Dalai Lama's surgery a success
The Dalai Lama's spokesman says surgery on the Tibetan spiritual leader to remove a gallstone has ended successfully. Spokesman Chhime R. Chhoekyapa says the surgery was a ''simple routine procedure.'' The Dalai Lama was hospitalized in New Delhi on Thursday, days after a medical checkup cleared him to resume foreign travel.

600 bid farewell to Mohammed
In spite of the pouring rain, more than 600 people of different races and creeds gathered at the UIC Forum on Saturday to pay a final tribute to Imam Warith Deen Mohammed. The longtime leader of the American Society of Muslims and son of the late Nation of Islam founder Elijah Muhammad died Tuesday in his Markham home, and he was buried Thursday. He was 74.
