Gonna leave a mark Andy Ihnatko: It's true, it's true: I don't really bookmark things in my browsers. This admission is similar in scope to having a car but not making any right turns in it, or getting your picture taken with the J. Lo figure at Madam Tussaud's and not checking out her butt. Y'see, it's a fundamental feature. Or at least it was back during the Clinton administration. Today, bookmarking things is sort of old hat.


ID theft prevention: Government doesn't get it
The government doesn't have to look very far to see who's ignoring its advice on preventing identity theft. It's the government itself. The nation's Medicare agency and the Pentagon want at least 52 million Americans to carry their Social Security numbers in their wallets, contrary to warnings by the Federal Trade Commission that people should avoid doing so.


Economy may be tipping point for servers here
Chicagoans are some of the highest tippers in the nation. Zagat's 2008-2009 Chicago Restaurants survey found Chicagoans are tipping servers an average of 19.1 percent of food bills. That's just shy of the nation's highest tippers in Philadelphia, who tip 19.4 percent.


Oil prices fall more than $1 a barrel
Oil prices fell more than $1 a barrel Friday from record levels set a day earlier on hopes that tensions surrounding Iran's nuclear program could ease and cut the chances of American or Israeli military action against OPEC's second-largest oil producer.
